Video Formats

PixLive Editor supports the video format H.264/MP4 in a quality and resolution suitable for being streamed to smartphone and tablets. It also accepts the following video services:

  • Youtube
  • Vimeo
  • Dailymotion

In order to convert a video to the right format, you can follow this procedure:

  1. If not already installed on your computer, install the free software HandBrake that can be downloaded at http://handbrake.fr

  2. Open Handbrake and select the video you want to convert.

  3. Click on the toggle_presets button on the top right corner of the window.

  4. Select the profile named Legacy/Android on the panel displayed on the right of the window:

  5. Click on the Browse... button to select where the converted video should be saved.

  6. Launch the video conversion process by clicking the on the start button.

  7. Once completed, the converted video can be uploaded directly into the editor by clicking on the Video button in the content pane.

Technical Details

Warning

It is mandatory to respect the following format specification or your video won’t play on certain devices, specifically Android devices.
